LAST WEEK EPISODE REVIEW:

A very promising start. I'm into it.

This doesn't feel like your typical CW show, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing because a lot of adults tend to think that The CW is just a channel for "teeny bopper" shows that aren't worth their time. But it's a bad thing in that teenagers might not be attracted to this show, seeing as it isn't The CW's usual teen drama. But I, a teenager, just finished watching the pilot episode and I... (can I get a drum roll? No? Okay...) very much enjoyed it.

***Spoiler-Heavy Beyond This Point***

WHAT I LOVED

1. SMG is back and ready for action. I was once a pretty huge BtVS fan, so it's nice to see everyone's favorite vampire slayer back on television in a very different role (rather, two very different roles), both of which suit her very well. Besides SMG, all of the casting was spot on.

2. The frequent twists and turns. Siobhan's dead. Bridget becomes Siobhan. Bridget finds out that Siobhan is pregnant (but with whose child? Andrew's or Henry's?) and now must figure out how to deal, seeing as she, Bridget, is not on the mommy track. Oh, and possibly the biggest surprise (which was TOTALLY RUINED by the extended promo The CW released) is that Siobhan is not, in fact, dead. She's very much alive and living it up in Paris. What's her plan? And what happened to her son, Sean? I'm assuming Bridget played a role in his death or something like that.

3. It didn't suffer from "pilot disorder," the terrible disease that many great TV shows suffer from in their first episode. "Pilot disorder" is when the first episode of the series is rather lackluster and not to be compared to the awesomeness that follows in the next episodes. No, "Ringer" was far too busy throwing twists and turns at us to ever leave a dull moment. But let's just hope that doesn't mean the writers put all they had into the pilot, therefore making it look a hundred times better than the episodes that follow. Because that, sadly, happens, too. Too often.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

1. The boat scene. Okay... the acting was fine. It was totally believable that both Bridget and Siobhan were on that boat, having a conversation, handled similarly to how they handle Elena and Katherine in The Vampire Diaries. But the special effects... Oh, they just made me want to give up on living. So bad! Didn't even look like they tried to make it look real. I've read other reviews that have commented on, if Ringer becomes popular, what will go down as the "infamous boat scene," so I won't go on any further. Such a scene is, I guess, excusable if nothing like it ever happens again.

I'm serious.

Watch Awkward. Season 1, Episode 10: No Doubt Online - MTV Finally get it right with a smart, quirky and funny show about teenagers, love and life. Let me get this right off the bat, every show I have seen MTV bring out in terms of their "dramas" has been complete rubbish and to be honest I though there was no coming back from US Skins. Where they took a gritty and fun UK show and made it so plastic. But good word of mouth led me to take askepticallook at Awkward. I am glad I did!

The story centers around one girl's often unfortunate but never boring journey through high school, from being invisible to standing out like a sore thumb. She blogs her life and feelings, the shows comes off as a dirtier version of Easy A but in the best way possible.

Where the show's real strength is that it is not a cliche, the characters seem far more grounded in reality than most teen TV shows. It never shies away from sex either, even though the characters are only 15. The characters aren't your typical stereotypes, none of them are truly horrible people, they are just living their lives and changing with the experiences they have. No one is perfect and no one is evil to the core, even the mean cheerleader with weight issues.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel or will it win awards anytime soon but the show is lots of fun to watch, is hilarious in parts and quirky from start to finish. If this sounds good to you then don't miss it, don't let the MTV tag line hold you back.

Bill has Eric arrested and, using the excuse that necromancers may use him as a weapon against vampires, gets the Vampire League's OK to sentence him to the "true death"; he later decides to release him when Eric appeals to Bill's love for Sookie. Arlene and Terry's house catches on fire while they are sleeping: Arlene panics when she can't find Mikey, but he and the mysterious doll are already outside the house. He is able to see an enigmatic African-American woman waving at him from a distance. Jason fears that he may turn into a werepanther on the night of the full moon, but Sookie finds out from Alcide that you can only be a 'were' if you are born of two weres. Debbie registers with the local pack without telling Alcide. In Mexico, Jesus' grandfather tells Jesus and Lafayette that they must find him a sacrifice. They find a rattlesnake, and Jesus' grandfather makes the snake bite Jesus, but Lafayette is able to heal him when the spirit of "Tio Luca" enters his body. While imprisoned, Marnie is once again possessed by the spirit of the powerful witch Antonia, and turns on her vampire captor, the same vampire who had raped and fed on Antonia many centuries ago. Tara's girlfriend, Naomi, shows up in Bon Temps and they rekindle their relationship. Pam's face continues to rot; she later shows up at Merlotte's and attacks Tara and Naomi in a fit of rage. Tommy shapeshifts into Sam, fires Sookie, and has sex with Luna. The real Sam later finds Tommy passed out at Merlotte's. Sookie, while out in the woods looking for Jason, runs into Eric, and they make love outside by the light of the full moon.

Paper Planes" part is surprisingly a great episode. After watching this episode it makes perfect sense for Anya to try cocaine. Right now, her self-esteem is at her lowest. Her mom just had cancer, she got rejected by Dr. Chris, rejected from University of Toronto, and even though she's a lot more independent now than in season 7, she does let her friends make decisions for her. So, it does make sense for Anya try cocaine. It made her feel good, like she was in control, and by the end of this episode, she wants more. Owen is actually become more complex. He seems to really care about Anya. And it's surprising that he doesn't do cocaine or and that he doesn't want Anya using cocaine. He was a jerk at one point telling Anya to stop seeing Holly J. I think he has some control issues. But I'm glad he apologized. He seems like he meant it. The Fiona plot was interesting. Degrassi has never dealt with bed bugs. I was so happy to find out that Fiona wasn't allergic to Charlie's cat because Mr. Tuxedopants was so cute. Anyways, Fiona was a jerk thinking Charlie brought the bed bugs. I'm glad Fiona apoligized and decided that she needs to know Charlie more before she jumps to conclusions. I still find the Connor plot very creepy. I can't believe he's taking pictures of girl clothing. It's interesting that Alli caught Connor holding bra. I wonder if Alli saw his face. I felt so bad for Alli when Connor rushed out and she got pushed to the ground.

Scott is comforted by his mother about the breakup, and Allison is driven to school by her father. As the day goes on, Scott begins showing bizarre behaviors unlike him, culminating in his running out of a Chemistry exam when he thinks too hard. Stiles follow and the two decide to lock him up during the full moon; for fear that he may kill someone under its influence. Scott and Stiles have lacrosse practice, where it's announced that Stiles is now a starter and Scott is now a co-captain, which infuriates Jackson. Prior to practice, Scott goes to ask Lydia if she likes Stiles on Stiles' behalf; instead the conversation is shifted to how Allison was stupid to let Scott go and Lydia and Scott kiss. Scott later lies to Stiles and claims that she said she likes him. During practice, Scott is incredibly violent and leaves one player with a bloody nose. Allison and Jackson bond and go for a drive, where they discuss the attack on the school. Both agree that Derek was not their attacker. That evening, Stiles finds Scott sitting in the dark, his mood very dark and predatory. Stiles handcuff Scott to a radiator to protect him from himself and for revenge on kissing Lydia. Scott goes wild, screaming in agony, yet unable to go free until the moon is unclouded. He transforms and escapes. Just as he is about to attack Jackson and Allison, Derek subdues him. The Argents discuss the two werewolves, seemingly concluding that there's a younger one alongside Derek. Scott, now back to normal and extremely scared about what is happening to him, asks if there's a cure. Derek confirms that there might be: To kill the one who bit you. He promises Scott that if Scott helps him find the Alpha, he will help Scott kill him. Jackson finds a claw-nail on his car, left by Scott, and realizes that it matches the hole in Scott's pierced glove that he found in Episode 2.
